The general items of work include, but are not limited to, interior painting, removal of existing flooring carpet and the installation of new vinyl flooring. A labor and materials bond and performance bond are prerequisites before contract execution, in the form and amount outlined in the contract documents The local prevailing wages, as determined by the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773.2 of the Labor Code of the State of California are on file at the City Hall, City of Santa Fe Springs, 11710 Telegraph Road, Santa Fe Springs, California 90670, and are available for review by any interested party on request at City Hall. The Contractor for this work shall perform all the basic regulations, requirements and procedures pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act and related prevailing wage statutes, including Title I of the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972. All contractors and subcontractors must furnish electronic certified payroll directly to the Labor Commissioner (aka Division of Labor Standards Enforcement), and to the City of Santa Fe Springs' Project Manager. The successful bidder shall be licensed under provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a valid California State Contractor's License "B", and/or "C-15", and/or "C-33" at the time the contract is awarded. The successful Contractor and all subcontractors will also be required to possess business licenses from the City of Santa Fe Springs before the commencement of work. The AGENCY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity in any bid received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received and to take all bids under advisement for a period of thirty (30) days. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest responsible bidder as so determined by the AGENCY.
