The following is a general description of the Project: Contract E - Filters includes the manufacture, testing, transportation, placement assistance at specified location or storage at the manufacturer's location, warranty and spare parts. Bid Form also requires statement of an allowance for onsite startup, testing and training for filters as described within the project specifications. Stated allowance will be contracted under Contract B - Construction. The outside of the sealed envelope must include the Bid Number 1305 and shall clearly indicate that the sealed envelope contains a bid for the New Wastewater Treatment Plant, City of Springfield, Tennessee; SWIG Project Nos 2022-8525 SPRINGFIELD WW-PDC-1, 2023-8691 ROBERTSON COUNTY WW-PDC-2; Contract E - Filters. No faxed or electronically transmitted bids will be accepted. All bids must be in a sealed envelope marked "New Wastewater Treatment Plant, City of Springfield, Tennessee; SWIG Project Nos 2022-8525 SPRINGFIELD WW-PDC-1, 2023-8691 ROBERTSON COUNTY WW-PDC-2; Contract E - Filters". Bids will be received for a single Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum price basis with separate options as indicated in the Bid Form. All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents prepared and issued by the Issuing Office (Engineer). The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Griggs & Maloney, Inc. located at Suite 205, 745 South Church Street, P.O. Box 2968, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37133, (615) 895-8221. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "Griggs & Maloney, Inc." Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. No other electronic media design document copies will be issued or allowed to be issued for this project without the express written permission of the Engineer. All Bidders must be registered plan holders with the Engineer. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the following: o Mr. Terry Beers, P.E., Director, Springfield Water & Wastewater Department, 924 Central Ave. West, Springfield, TN 37172 o Griggs & Maloney, Inc. 745 S. Church St., Ste. 205, Murfreesboro, TN 37130 We encourage all small and minority owned firms and women business enterprises to participate. The City of Springfield hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Springfield is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Any contract that uses federal funds to pay for construction work is a "federally assisted construction contract" and must include the equal opportunity clause found in 2 C.F.R. Part 200, unless otherwise stated in 41 C.F.R. Part 60. We encourage all small and minority owned firms and women's business enterprises to participate. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. A "Bid Bond" or other bid security in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany the submitted bid. All bids shall remain binding on the Bidder for a period of 60 days after the bid date and time and the Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or bid alternate, to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejections, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. All alternates requested on the bid form will be considered in the award of the Contract.
