BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY UNDER THE NAME OF THE BIDDER TO WHOM CONTRACT DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY PLAN HOUSE PRINTING, ON BEHALF OF THE ENGINEER, AND WHOSE NAME APPEARS ON THE OFFICIAL LIST OF PLANHOLDERS MAINTAINED BY PLAN HOUSE PRINTING THE HARD COPY PURCHASE AND DIGITAL DOWNLOAD OPTION WILL BECOME AVAILABLE WHEN THE DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER AND HAVE BEEN PLACED ON THE PLAN ROOM. The project will consist of the following items: 1. Locate existing water meters, furnish and install approximately 635 Water Meters and Automated Meter Reading System, and any required meter valves, meter couplings, and meter boxes. 2. Two (2) 8" HDPE Directional Bores at Porter Bayou, 8" HDPE open-cut water line, machine taps, wet taps, ductile iron fittings, and removal and replacement of concrete surfacing, concrete curb & gutter, and bituminous asphalt surfacing, and any additional appurtenant items. 3. Approximately 2,085 Linear Feet of 6" PVC water line, HDPE directional bores, valves, ductile iron fittings, machine taps, hydrants, service reconnections, removal and replacement of concrete surfacing, concrete curb & gutter, and bituminous asphalt surfacing, and any additional appurtenant items. The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: CITY OF SHAW, CITY HALL, 101 FAISON STREET, SHAW, MS 38773 and Cook Coggin Engineers, Inc., 703 Crossover Road, Tupelo, Mississippi 38801. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. This project is being supported in whole or in part by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), federal award number 429-2-DW-5.15 awarded to City of Shaw, Mississippi by the U.S. Department of the Treasury." Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the Engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of Planholders maintained by Plan House Printing. Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed contract, the Contractor shall furnish surety bonds subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All applicable laws, ordinances and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to this Bid. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest or best responsible, responsive Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Should a Bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from the specifications or other contract documents, or should he be in doubt as to the meaning of any part thereof, he should at once submit to COOK COGGIN ENGINEERS, INC., P.O. Box 1526, Tupelo, Mississippi 38802, a written request for an interpretation.
