The fire station is being renovated to comply with current building and accessibility codes, provide new living quarters for added fire department staff, improve the Apparatus Bay, and replace existing communication and building systems. A new generator is being added to support the station during power outages. The finished area of the renovated fire station is approximately 4,300 square feet. B. The Project consists of the renovation and reconstruction of the existing fire station: 1. Replacement of existing living quarters. 2. Replacement of an attached shed to the south of the apparatus bay with a new 155 sf decontamination area. 3. Construction of an accessible parking space and path of travel from Butterfield Road to the front door of the station. 4. Deferred maintenance improvements, including reroofing and window replacement.
