Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in San Anselmo, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The Project consists of three distinct stages: 1. Stabilization and removal of lead-based paint 2. Application of Primer 3. Application of 2 Layers of Paint 1 Topcoat Layer for Stucco C. The Project consists of three buildings 1. Lower Building 2. Breezeway 3. Gym/ Preschool Refer to Section 01 1000 Summary of Work for more Project Description information. Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost is $220,000 and liquidated damages is $1,165 per day. Time for Final Completion. The Project must be completed within 34 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. The first available working day is September 8, 2025, and the work shall be completed by Sunday, October 12, 2025.Work will be allowed on weekends and holidays, if requested. Number of working days: 34 License. This Project requires a valid California contractor s license for the following classification(s): C-33 Painting and Decorating Experience. A minimum of 3 years in Painting or of similar scale and scope and/or historic public buildings. Bid Security. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security often percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier s or certified check made payable to Town, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after Town issues the Notice of Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the Notice of Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents Retention. The percentage of retention that will be withheld from progress payments is 5%. Oral responses are not authorized and are not binding on the Town. Bidders should submit any such written inquiries by May 2, 2025 by 5 pm. Questions should be sent to Jerry Healy, Public Works Manager, jhealy@sananselmo.gov Questions received any later might not be addressed before the bid deadline. An interpretation or clarification by Town in response to a written inquiry will be issued in an addendum. Project has been cancelled.
