Boise State is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Emergency Snow Removal Services for Boise State's main campus, as needed, in emergency circumstances, or during conditions that prevent Boise State's staff from managing the snowfall/accumulation. The reference area to be serviced is attached in the attached map. The contractor should provide details related to its expected response time to begin performing services following a request from Boise State University for Emergency Snow Removal Services. Generally, the contractor will be contacted for their services when a snow accumulation event reaches at least 6 inches, or if the winter conditions are deemed to potentially affect campus safety. The Contractor may be required to consolidate and remove all snow from campus if continued snowfall persists over the winter months. The contractor will need to have a plan in place to dispose of excess snow in accordance with all applicable laws. Please do not include your company's terms and conditions with your RFI proposal. Any contract resulting from this RFI is subject to Boise State's Standard Terms and Conditions. Please note a Public works license is preferred. Term: The initial term of this contract will be for one (1) year commencing upon the issuance of a P.O., with three (3) optional one-year renewal periods. Prior to the expiration of each term, the contract will renew automatically under the same terms and conditions unless either party provides notice to the other party 30 days in advance of the renewal date stating that the party wishes to discuss price escalation or not to renew. Escalation: Price increases, if any, will be subject to BSU's approval and will be effective on the contract's renewal date. For a price increase to be considered, the Contractor must provide written justification for the increase no less than ninety (90) days prior to the contract renewal date. Only costs that are not within the control of the Contractor will be considered, such as, but not limited to: utility costs, labor costs, unusual transportation costs, etc. The contractor must document these cost increases to the satisfaction of Boise State University. The University reserves the right to verify all claims regarding increased costs. Any decrease in price must be passed to the University immediately as they are available to the Contractor.
