Site work for a water / sewer project in Boise, Idaho. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of suction dredging sludge from the main pond, including the disposal of the dredged material after it has been allowed to dry out. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid is required. Proposals must be accompanied by cash (no personal or business checks), a certified check, or cashier's check drawn on a bank in good standing, or a bid bond issued by a Surety authorized to issue such bonds in the State of Idaho, in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the Proposal submitted. This bid security shall be given as guarantee that the Bidder will not withdraw his Proposal for a period of 60 days after bid opening, and that if awarded the Contract, the successful Bidder will execute the attached Contract and furnish the Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as hereinafter specified. A valid Public Works Contractors License for the State of Idaho is required of the successful bidder at the time of the bid opening. Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC work to be accomplished by a Public Works Licensed Contractor. Include names and Public Works License number on Sub-Contractor List as part of bid. The successful Bidder shall file with the Owner a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond on the forms bound herewith, or suitable substitutes, each in the full amount of the Contract price, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all persons supplying labor and materials for the construction of the work, and to cover all guarantees against defective workmanship or materials, or both, for a period of 1 year after the date of final acceptance of the work by the Owner. The Surety furnishing this bond shall have a sound financial standing and a record of service satisfactory to the Owner and shall be authorized to do business in the State of Idaho. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals, and to waive any informalities and irregularities in said Proposals. The project at the MK Nature Center consists of dredging sediment that has accumulated in the main viewing pond. The project is located at the MK Nature Center in Boise, Ada County, Idaho. 1. MOBILIZATION Description: Mobilization includes all preparatory work and operations, including but not limited to, those necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to and from the project site; for the establishment of offices, buildings, and other facilities necessary for work on the project; for premiums on bond and insurance for the project; and for all other work and operations which must be performed before beginning work on the various contract items. Costs associated with providing, installing, and removal of Best Management Practices (BMPs) shall be considered incidental to this item. Method of Measurement and Pay: Payment for Mobilization will be made at the contract unit price per lump sum. 2. DREDGING AND DISPOSAL OF SEDIMENT Description: The work consists of dredging the main viewing pond at the MK Nature Center. Excavated sediment will be transferred to geotubes located on site (see attached image). Geotubes will be allowed to dry out and then Contractor will be responsible for the proper disposal of the dredged material. Construction and Material Requirements: The main viewing pond is located near the Boise Greenbelt at the rear of the MK Nature Center facility. Access to the site is very limited and equipment should be sized appropriately to get in and out. This work includes transferring the sediment material via piping to the area shown in Figure 1. Once the sediment has been allowed to dry, the Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of the dredge material. Designated site is approximately 600 feet from the main pond. Total estimated volume of sediment to be removed is approximately 2,500 yd . Method of Measurement and Pay: Dredging and Disposal of Sediment will be measured and paid per lump sum. Question Deadline 12/04/2024 Any person contemplating the submission of a proposal shall have thoroughly examined all of the various parts of these Documents, and should there be any doubt as to the meaning or intent of said Contract Documents, the Bidder should request of the Owner, in writing (at least 6 working days prior to bid opening), an interpretation thereof
