Reference Number 0000367676 Job Location: City of Melvindale, Wayne County, Michigan The City of Melvindale is accepting proposals for the design and rehabilitation of the sanitary pump station located at 3390 Greenfield Road. The sanitary pump station is approximately 30 years old and the City would like to replace and potentially upgrade some of the existing pump station equipment. The City has recently received a grant from the State of Michigan through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and would like to perform as many upgrades as possible to maximize the impact of the grant funding. This project will be subdivided into groups which will bid on as lump sums. Each group should be treated as an individual project. Groups to be completed will be selected after bids are opened. All groups will be bid as one package under one contract, with the understanding that some groups will not be part of the final contract. The contract award will be made to the lowest contract total which will be based on the total cost of all groups selected to be constructed. The project scope for the pump station rehabilitation will include, but may not be limited to the items listed below. This work shall be paid for according to the measurement and methods of payment section of this contract, and will include all transportation, labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the work as indicated below: General Scope Remove and Replace Four (4) 8" Submersible Pumps (1600 gpm/pump) Remove and Replace Four (4) 10" Check Valves Remove and Replace 14" Submersible Pump (5386 gpm) Remove and Replace Four (4) Pressure Sensors/Transmitters and Connect to Control Panel Inspect, Remove, and Replace Combustible Gas Detection System with a Multiple Location Sample Draw System and Exterior Warning Lights Evaluate and Repair Supply Air Fan (SAF-1) and Air Handling Unit (AH-1) Controls Inspect/Diagnose Control Panel and Make Appropriate Repairs to Address Persistent Faults Replace Outbound Dialer System with Combination Dialer and Text Messaging System Evaluate Emergency Bypass Pumping System and Provide Method to Automate the Bypass Pumping Process Question Deadline 11/15/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online No, All Requests for Information (RFI) are due by time, and shall be directed to Nick Yuvan by email at nryuvan@hengineers.com The anticipated start date, weather permitting, is March 31, 2025 and substantially completed by August 21, 2026 with final completion by September 4, 2026.
