Weekly mowing, edging, weed eating, and blowing of all landscaped road islands and medians identified in the attached figures between April 1 and September 30. Mowing, edging, weed eating, and blowing of all landscaped road islands and medians identified in the attached figures as-needed to maintain a clean and manicured appearance between October 1 and March 31. At a minimum, these services shall be performed once per month during this period. Pre-emergent herbicide applications to maintain a clean appearance and to control weeds within cracks and seams of concrete islands/medians and along all curbing, and within landscape beds. Fertilizer applications shall be provided for shrubs and grasses within landscaped beds, at minimum once during this period. Fertilizer shall be applied according to labelled use for the respective plants and environment. Post-emergent herbicide application as necessary to maintain a clean appearance and to control weeds within cracks and seams of concrete islands/medians and along all curbing, and within landscape beds. Mulch applications. Top dressing/Replacement shall be in-kind (e.g., straw replaces straw; bark replaces bark). Top dressing shall occur once during this period, at minimum; replacement shall occur once during this period, at minimum. Traffic control as necessary to complete work Litter removal as necessary to maintain professional appearance and facilitate work outlined above The initial contract term shall be December 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, and be eligible for renewal thereafter. Renewed contracts shall be effective October 1 through September 30 of subsequent years. The total bid price provided herein shall account for a full 12 months of maintenance (October 1 through September 30), though the initial year shall be paid on a prorated basis for the ten (10) months of the initial maintenance term: December 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. Guarantee will be required with each bid in the amount of at least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the amount bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Auburn, Alabama. The City reserves the right to select the lowest responsible bidder as the best interest of the City may require, to award the purchase contract from any of the bids, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in bids received. Bids will be good for thirty (30) days after being opened by the City of Auburn, Alabama.
