Name: Jason Smith Title: Project Manager Email address: SmithTJ@cityofGainesville.org City Department/Division Name: GCRA Porters Quarters Fencing Specifications Overview: The City of Gainesville (City) wishes to install a new fence in the Porters Quarters community that will stretch approximately 600 linear feet. This fence will replace an existing wooden fence that is in poor repair and falling apart in certain areas. Some brush clearing along Depot Avenue and SW 2nd Street will be required and must be included in the bid. The current fence and brush will need to be removed and properly disposed of. The Main Porters Quarters Fencing Specifications The main section of the new fence will be 5 feet high and made of commercial quality black aluminum. It will run along Depot Avenue, east of SW 3rd Street, and end at SW 2nd Street. It will pick back up north on SW 2nd Street (roughly 75 feet) where it will connect to an existing black aluminum fence. At the ends of the fence along Depot Avenue, the height will transition from 5 feet to 4 feet, and the fence will taper slightly at the entryways. Scope: 1. Remove and dispose of up to 600' of existing 6'high wooden fencing- Contractor required to verify actual measurement 2. Clear all necessary brush prior to installation by contractor 3. Removal and disposal of all cleared brush by contractor 4. Level area prior to installation 5. Supply and Install up to 450' of 5'high commercial quality black 3 rail rake bottom aluminum fencing - Contractor required to verify actual measurement 6. Supply and install (4) 5'H-4'H x 6'W transition panels 7. Supply and install up to 150 of 4'high commercial quality black 3 rail rake bottom aluminum fencing- Contractor required to verify actual measurement 8. Removal of all trash and debris by the contractor 9. Permits responsibility of the contractor 10. Project must be completed within 90 days after notice to proceed 11. Contractor required to coordinate the project with City in order not to interfere with Facilities 12. One (1) year labor. Product; limited lifetime warranty against peeling, flaking, splintering, corrosion, rusting or abnormal discoloration under normal and proper usage 13. Attend site visit on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at 818 SW 2nd St, Gainesville, Florida 14. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary permitting, fees, labor, and materials, to remove existing fence, installation and replacement of a new exterior commercial quality black aluminum fence. The installation required shall be accomplished with a high degree of quality workmanship. Specifications: 1. 60" high X 72" wide BLACK COMMERICAL QUALITY 3 RAIL RAKE BOTTOM ALUMINUM PANEL 2. 2.5" Sq. X 7' BLACK COMMERCIAL QUALITY ALUMINUM 0.075 WALL POST 3. 4'H-5'H X 6'W BLACK COMMERCIAL QUALITY ALUMINUM 3 RAIL RAKE BOTTOM TRANSITION PANEL 4. 48" high X 72" wide BLACK COMMERICAL QUALITY 3 RAIL RAKE BOTTOM ALUMINUM PANEL 5. 2.5" Sq. X 6' BLACK COMMERCIAL QUALITY 0.075 WALL END POST 6. CONCRETE 7. At the ends of the fence along Depot Avenue, the height will transition from 5 feet to 4 feet, and the fence will taper slightly at the entryways.
