Project Name: Rockwell Elementary School Roof Replacement Project Address: 114 Link St., Rockwell, North Carolina 28138 All bidders are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades. Bid security in the amount equal to not less than 5% of the gross amount of the bid is required. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of the contract is required. Question Deadline 11/25/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Submit questions to REI Engineers, Inc. in writing to the Project Manager's email address at least 7 days prior to the bid due date. 1. Low Slope Roof Replacement: a. Remove and dispose of the roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the steel deck or wood plank deck. b. Secure the existing steel deck and wood deck to structural framing members. c. Provide a two-ply modified bitumen roof membrane along with flashings and accessories. Utilize cold process adhesive over wood deck areas and torch application over all other roof decks. d. Replace sheet metal flashings and trim. e. Provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly. 2. Standing Seam Metal Roof: a. Remove and dispose of the single ply roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the wood plank deck. b. Asphalt shingle roof sections may remain. Remove flashings and sheet metal as necessary to facilitate roof replacement (Area 001.26). c. Provide insulation system and self-adhering underlayment (Area 001.20). d. Provide standing seam metal roof panel system along with flashings, trim and accessories. e. Provide snow guard system along eave edge and upslope side of roof penetrations. f. Provide a complete, weathertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly with 30-year finish warranty. . Provide electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other related trade work necessary to facilitate project operations. Relocate or raise conduit, HVAC equipment, curbs, and/or plumbing necessary to comply with the requirements of these documents and conform to the requirements of the State Building Code.
