As of January 8, 2024 project was awarded to Superior Asphalt, Inc in the amount of $79.107.50 Character and amount of security to be furnished by each bidder are stated in the bid documents. The principal features of the Contract include: The work of this contract generally consists of milling and resurfacing the pavement at three (3) locations on East Main Street (SR 636), in Wauchula, Florida where the existing pavement has previously been repaired. The existing pavement surface shall be milled to a depth of 2- inches (varying from one-half of the roadway to curb to curb) depending on the location and overlaid with 2-inches of FC-12.5 friction course. All striping removed or damage during the construction shall be replaced. The Contractor shall be responsible for all Maintenance of Traffic. All workmanship and materials shall be in accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (Latest Edition). Contractors submitting bid proposals must be FDOT Pre-qualified for this work. Contractors submitting bid proposals must submit proposals on all work items in the contract to be considered a responsive bidder.
