The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other miscellaneous items to install a gravity sewer main along N Lincoln Street, W 1st Avenue, Railroad Avenue, and Anderson Road. The project will construct approximately 4,150 LF of 18-inch sewer main, install manholes, provide an open trench crossing of Mercer Creek, provide a trenchless crossing under Mercer Creek, provide dewatering mitigation and treatment, and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete this project. The engineer's estimate for the project is $2,900,000 to $3,500,000 plus tax (if applicable. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in a cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Ellensburg. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before the award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty days. The City of Ellensburg, Washington, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. Responsibility and competency of bidders and their subcontractors will be considered in making the award.
