Request for Qualifications for Natural Gas System Corrosion Control Evaluation & Survey The City of Ellensburg is soliciting interest from consulting firms with expertise in corrosion control for the performance of services necessary to complete a comprehensive corrosion control evaluation of the City's natural gas system, a close interval survey on approximately 2.5 miles of 6-inch steel mainline, and an interference study at two locations. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The City's natural gas system is comprised of approximately 42 miles of coated steel distribution pipe (1", 2", 4" and 6") and approximately 97 miles of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The system's services consist of 1,282 coated steel lines and 3,814 HDPE lines. There are 3 deep well anode beds and rectifiers as well as 3 single anodes on isolated steel lines.
