Renovation of a water / sewer project in Saint Louis, Missouri. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

As of January 13, 2025, this project is a request for information. Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility Renewable Natural Gas Generation. The MO River WWTF is located at 3455 Creve Coeur Mill Road in St. Louis, MO. The biogas is produced from on-site anaerobic digestion. MSD will supply raw and unscrubbed biogas to a custody transfer point for the Responder to upgrade it to renewable natural gas ("RNG") and sell for its physical and environmental attributes. RSOI Questions Questions must be submitted via email to both the following Project Managers. Questions received after 4:00 pm local time December 2, 2024 may not be answered. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Project Manager in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda to all Entities. Oral or other interpretations or clarifications shall be without legal effect, even if made during formal meetings. Wastewater solids are stabilized in an anaerobic digestion process that produces biogas, which is currently utilized onsite The MO River WWTF uses anaerobic digestion for stabilizing primary sludge and thickened waste activated sludge. The digestion facility consists of five digesters: Digesters No. 1 through No. 4 are 70 ft in diameter with a tank volume of 0.9 million gallons each, and Digester No. 5 is 96 ft in diameter with a volume of 1.66 million gallons. Digester No. 4 operates as a secondary digester while the rest function as primary digesters. Typically, only three primary digesters are operated under most conditions. Digested sludge is transferred to the secondary digester and then dewatered and disposed of at a landfill.
