Substation Switchgear, Indoor Arc-Resistant Purpose The Contractor shall provide custom Indoor, Arc-Resistant Substation Switchgear and protect 3-phase electric utility distribution circuits from a separately furnished transformer, to be used in Austin Energy substations. The switchgear is essential to maintaining the safety and reliability of AEs electric system by monitoring and protecting distribution circuits and equipment downstream of the switchgear. The switchgear must be constructed using the highest quality materials and workmanship standards in the switchgear industry in adherence with AE specification and applicable industry standards. Warranty The Contractor shall provide a 5-year (60 month) warranty for each equipment supplied under this contract. The warranty shall begin when the equipment is delivered to the Austin Energy site and accepted by Austin Energy personnel. Term of Contract This Contract shall remain in effect for an initial term of 12 months or until the City terminates the Contract. This Contract may be extended beyond the initial term for up to 4 additional 12 month periods at the City sole option.
