A brief summary of the Work involved in this Contract is for the supply and installation of full traffic signal underground infrastructure including electrical components, roadway restoration, curb and sidewalk construction/reconstruction, catch basins/maintenance holes, pole bases, pavement markings and all other associated Works, as detailed in the Contract drawings. - Installation of an Intersection Pedestrian Signal (IPS) at Centennial Parkway at Felker Avenue. Scope of Work includes new traffic signal pole bases, underground infrastructure concrete works, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) infrastructure, streetlighting and pavement marking. - Geometric improvement through modification of the pavement marking & Pedestrian Crossover (PXO) Installation for Burke Street from Boulding Avenue to Skinner Road as a traffic calming measure. The proposed pavement marking will be installed to comply with City of Hamilton (COH) complete street guideline at this location includes concrete Works (AODA infrastructure), streetlighting, pavement markings and type D PXO installation at Skinner and Burke roundabout West leg. - Installation of a concrete bump out at the intersection of Boulding Avenue and Fellowes Crescent, Boulding Avenue and Vance Crescent & Boulding Avenue and Laurendale Avenue as a traffic calming measure. The proposed bump out will be installed at three (3) intersections of Boulding Ave. Work at this location includes concrete Works (AODA infrastructure), streetlighting and pavement markings. - Geometric improvement through modification of the pavement marking & PXO Installation for Skinner Road from Burke Street to Mallard Trail as a traffic calming measure. The proposed pavement marking will be installed to comply with COH complete street guideline at this location includes concrete Works (AODA infrastructure), streetlighting, pavement markings and type D PXO installation at Skinner and Mcknight Avenue east leg. - Conversion of an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing along Wilson Street West at Meadowbrook Drive/Hamilton Drive to a Type D PXO. Scope of Work for this upgrade includes PXO installation, concrete Works, AODA infrastructure, streetlighting and pavement marking. - Installation of raised Type B PXO at the intersection of Garth Street PXO, 40m North of Garth Trails Crescent. Work at this location includes concrete Works, asphalt Works for the raised crosswalk, pavement marking and streetlighting. - Installation of an IPS at the Barton Street East at Emerald Street North to aid with pedestrians crossing. The scope of Work for this intersection includes new traffic signal pole bases and above ground signal infrastructure, curb extension, underground infrastructure, concrete Works, AODA infrastructure, streetlighting and pavement marking. - Installation of Type B PXO at the intersection of Dewitt Road at Glenashton Drive. Work at this location includes concrete Works, asphalt Works, pavement marking and streetlighting. - Installation of a Type D Pedestrian Crossover at the mid - block crossing location near Kimberly Drive at Kenilworth Stairs, as shown on the Contract drawings. Scope of Work includes installation of Type D PXO signage, concrete Works (including AODA infrastructure), streetlighting and pavement marking. - Geometric improvements at the intersection of Carluke Road West and Sawmill Road. The scope of Work includes installation of porkchop island, underground infrastructure, concrete works, streetlighting and pavement marking. - Partial upgrade of the existing signal and pedestrian infrastructure at the intersection of Hollybush Drive - from Dundas to Parkside. This includes addition of AODA ramps, AODA compliant push button infrastructure and poles, cycle track, and underground infrastructure as needed. - Conversion of an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing along 161 Meadowlands to a Type B PXO. Scope of Work for this upgrade includes PXO installation, concrete Works, AODA infrastructure, streetlighting and pavement marking. - Installation of an IPS at Upper Paradise at Skyview. Scope of Work includes new traffic signal pole bases, underground infrastructure concrete works, AODA infrastructure, relocate bus pad and stoppage, accommodate bike lane, streetlighting and pavement marking.
