The scope of work generally includes the replacement of existing and installation of new boilers, roof top units, convectors, unit ventilators, mechanical units, ductwork, piping, plumbing, electrical, building controls, roof penetrations, steel reinforcements, and all other associated work as specified and shown on the drawings. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 etseq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 etseq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1. etseq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 etseq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act to the Bidder and all subcontractors. Pursuant to P.L. 2004 c.57 (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44) all bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include its own Business Registration Certificate and all subcontractors. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids. The Hanover Park Regional Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education.
