Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project generally consists of the installation of streetscape lighting components along portions of North Washington Avenue and South Washington Avenue in the Borough of Dunellen including walkway removal, excavation, buried conduit, concrete foundations, walk restoration and other related work. The contractor will also be required to coordinate the installation of light fixtures, standards, bases and wiring that will be installed by the electric utility company. Work at additional locations may be ordered by the Borough if deemed appropriate. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the Bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the Bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cashing check. A bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent to the bid may be substituted for certified check or cashiers check. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of consent of surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds", U.S. Treasury Department, guaranteeing that if the proposal of the Bidder be accepted they will furnish the bond set forth in paragraph one of the Instructions to Bidders of the contract and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) and N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.
