The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority is accepting Bids for the rehabilitation of the grit chamber at the Dornick Point Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 241 Asphalt Road, Johnstown Pa. 15906. The proposed project will include the procurement and installation of replacement chains, buckets, and sprockets, in accordance with the specifications. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a Bid Bond of an approved surety, a cashiers check, a certified check, or bank letter of credit payable to the Authority in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the total bid. Bidders should be aware that any proposed insurance is not acceptable to the Authority without identifying the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority and the Commonwealth Financing Authority as an additional insured on the Bidders Certificate of Insurance. Bidder/Contractor shall provide general liability insurance naming the authority as additional insured, in the amount of $2,000.000.00 per occurrence and $2,000,000.00 aggregate. Federal, State, and Local Municipal regulations applicable to this type of service shall apply. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals; to accept any bid, to waive any informality or technicality on bids received; to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interest of the Authority; or to withhold and/or to abandon the final award of the contract. The successful bidder will be required to fully complete all work within 240 consecutive calendar days from, and including, the date indicated by the Owner in the written Notice to Proceed.
