Site work for a water / sewer project in Slocomb, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Principal items of work include the following: Installing approximately 15,870 LF of 6" water main, 400 LF of 8" water main, 6,880 LF of 2" water main, and 4,390 LF of 3/4 " water service tubing. Removing and Patching 675 SY of asphalt, installing 14 fire hydrant assemblies, and abandoning/connecting existing water mains. Plans and Specifications may be examined at Slocomb Water Works and Sewer Board, Board Office; P. O. Box 1147; 255 E. Lawrence Harris Hwy; Slocomb, Alabama 36375. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete proposals made available by the Owner. Bid documents will be mailed only upon receipt of deposit. If paper option is chosen, checks shall be made payable to Southern Engineering Solutions, Inc. No paper bid documents will be distributed later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Each bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1985, and must submit with his bid satisfactory evidence of such license. Bidders will not be required to prequalify.
