Site work and paving for a road / highway in Great Falls, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This is a ride improvement project. It will be necessary to survey the grade and mill existing asphalt to produce a smooth and even surface to place new asphalt, in order to provide safe travel lanes for the public. Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, incidentals and traffic control necessary to produce, haul, place, tack and compact approximately 560 tons of ¾" Commercial Plant Mix Grade S 58H-34 asphalt mix material. The overlay shall be paved .15 feet thick and approximately 63 feet wide in location 1, 60 feet wide in location 2 and 30 feet wide in location 3. Due to small quantities at the individual patch locations, testing will not apply. Location 1 is at the Vaughn interchange; we are deleting the cattle guard and want to pave approximately 200' to provide a smooth ride in the transition area. Location 2 is the Railroad bridge also at the Vaughn interchange, westbound off bridge and eastbound on bridge, both lanes. Mill and pave back approximately 100’ to provide a smooth transition from bridge to roadway. Location 3 is on MT-200 and is very uneven with multiple patches. The quantity is estimated and will be changed accordingly depending on pickup and delivery locations and miles transported. Contractor shall be responsible for all private property damage claims resulting from performance of the tasks described above
