Saving Project...

Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The scope of this work is to remove and dispose of all fences, backstops, bleacher pads, scorer booths, bullpens, batting cages and dugouts of seven (7) baseball fields at Rockwood Park, 3401 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield VA 23236. All concrete from the dugouts and fence poles must also be removed from site. This is an active park, and all work should be performed with the least amount of disturbance to areas outside the fences. The fields may be used as lay down areas before hauling off site. Post holes should be filled as work is done to prevent accidental injury. When complete, all work areas will need to be clear of any debris from this work and left in rough grade, but uniform fashion. This work may start December 1, 2024, and must be completed by February 21, 2025. All material, equipment, rubble, debris, and other products of the demolition shall become the property of the Contractor for his disposal off-site in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances at the Contractor's expense. The sale of salvageable materials by the Contractor shall only be conducted off- site. No explosives shall be used at any time during the demolition. No burning of material will be allowed. Any owner utilities that will remain will be clearly marked or otherwise removed by owner. The County assumes no responsibility for the actual condition of the structures to be demolished or relocated.
