As of December 20, 2024, bids came in too high. They are re-evaluating the project to decide how, or if, to move forward. The project includes the application of pavement markings throughout the Capital Area Greenway System to assist users in identifying sidewalk connections that are located between traditional greenway trails. The 12" wide pavement markers are to be applied to sidewalk sections throughout the Capital Area Greenway System. The sidewalk sections surfaces are concrete, typically between 4' and 6' wide and run adjacent to roadways. These pavement markings will improve the users awareness that they are still on sections of the Capital Area Greenway System.
