Project Location: Bristol County New Bedford 3rd District Courthouse, 75 No. 6th St., New Bedford, MA 02740 Project Scope: Replacement of the existing chiller and boiler plants including, but not limited to the chiller, boiler, pumps, expansion tanks, air separators, piping and valves, boiler flue and combustion air intake, natural gas piping, circuit breakers, conduit, and wiring. Installation of a new chilled water bypass line in the Penthouse Mechanical Room. New panelboards will serve new mechanical loads. Partial demolition and reconstruction of the chimney will be required to install flues for the new condensing boilers and the existing domestic water heater. MBE/WBE businesses encouraged to participate. Sealed Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount and made payable to "County of Bristol". The deposit may be in the form of cash, certified check or a bank check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. Successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond of the amount of the contract. An award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The Bristol County Commissioners intend to award a contract within 45 days of solicitation opening.
