Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Janesville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive bids for the following listed Public Work: Innovation Park Phase 1C For furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the construction of the following approximate quantities: 100 LF of small diameter storm sewer; 60 LF of large diameter storm sewer, adjustment of existing utilities including valve manholes, 12,000 sf of concrete sidewalk, 150 LF of concrete curb and gutter, 1050 tons of asphaltic concrete pavement, 4,400 tons of dense graded base, 2,500 CY of unclassified excavation and ditch grading, erosion control, new full signal system including lights, monotubes, wiring and conduit, meter pedestal, pull boxes, and signal loops, traffic control including detours, traffic shifts and flagging, pavement markings, rumble strips, signage and posts, and nonpaved surface restoration. All bidders shall bid in accordance with contract document's Section 2 'Information to Bidders'. The above Public Work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contracts on file with the City Clerk. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
