Bids shall be based upon the annual chemical requirements in accordance with the most recent Standard Specifications of the American Water Works Association governing such chemicals. The annual requirements (quantity and descriptions) of the Authority are estimated as follows: Water Treatment Plant at 160 Hopewell Avenue, Aliquippa o 96,000 Pounds - Chlorine in 1-Ton Cylinders o 36,000 Pounds - Chlorine in 150-Pound Cylinders o 3,960 Gallons - Sodium Permanganate in 330-gallon totes (20% by weight) Wastewater Treatment Plant at 130 North Beaver Avenue, Aliquippa o 27,000 Pounds - Chlorine in 1 Ton Cylinders o 600 Pounds - Chlorine in 150 Pound Cylinders o 9,000 Pounds - Sulfur Dioxide in 150 Pound Cylinders State the bids for chlorine and sulfur dioxide in terms of cost per cylinder and explain demurrage, deposits and any other associated costs. State the bid for Sodium Permanganate in terms of cost per tote. Bids to be include truck delivery to specific location. A penalty charge for delivery of material past the normal shipping time will be charged at a rate of $100.00 per day for failure to deliver within three (3) days of order. The term of all contracts is from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 - firm prices. The Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal or any item of any proposal, and to subdivide the award of the contract for individual chemicals if such may be considered in the best interest of the Authority.
