Renovation of a municipal facility in Oshawa, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Renovations to create Indigenous Ceremonial Rooms within Govt Owned Buildings. Carpet replacement, install power door opener to Ceremonial Room entrance door where feasible. Install a duct system with an internal fan that is ducted directly to the outdoors Install a manual switch with a sixty (60) minute timer for the fan and dampers Install controlled damper on the return vent(s) set up so that the dampers are closed on the return vent(s) when the exhaust fan is turned on Heat detectors, where feasible, as required to meet smudging requirements Make good finishes Base-building mechanical system is capable of meeting all HVAC requirements Building, including occupant space, is fully AODA/OBC compliant Existing partitions and finishes are compliant with smudging including required flame spread rating Existing entrance door and frame will support addition of power door operator. Locations include: Phase 1 (2025-2026): Michael Starr Building, 33 King Street West, Oshawa; Multi-Ministry Offices, 77 Grenville Street, Toronto; Whitney Block, 99 Wellesley Street West, Toronto; Phase 2 (2026-2027): Ontario Government Offices at 1 Stone Road West Guelph; Garden City Tower at 301 St. Paul Street, St Catharines; MNR Main Office/Storage at 106 Manotick Street, Bancroft. Phase 3: (2027-2028) 200 First Ave North Bay; 447 McKeown Avenue, North Bay; OPP 62 Queen Street East, Sioux Lookout; 62 Queen Street, Blind River. TIMELINE: Designs are ongoing. Tender timelines have yet to be finalized by the owner. Further update early 2026. *Contacts at Infrastructure Ontario and Colliers Project Leaders are unreleased.
