Work Includes Manhole Replacement, Manhole Rehabilitation, Service Line Replacement For Approximately 200 Customers, Sewer Video, Street Overlay, Traffic Control, Sewer Abandonment, And Appurtenances. Contract 1a: (Sewer Rehabilitation) The Owner Will Consider Bids For Rehabilitation Of The En Tire Sewer System In Lieu Of Replacement. Bidders May Submit Proposals For One Or Both Proposals For Contract 1. Award Will Not Be Based Solely On Lowest Bid. Work Includes Manhole Re- Placement, Manhole Rehabilitation, Service Line Replace Ment For Approximately 200 Customers, Sewer Video, Street Overlay, Traffic Control, And Appurtenances. Contract 2: Waterline Replacement. For Installation Of Approximately 11,600 Linear Feet Of 6- Inch Ductile Iron Pipe, 850 Linear Feet Of 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe, 360 Linear Feet Of Directional Drill Using 6- Inch Or 8- Inch Ductile Iron Pipe, And 1,250 Linear Feet Of 2" Polyeth- Ylene Pipe. Work Includes Fire Hydrant Replacement, Valves, Street Overlay, Traffic Control, Service Line Re Placement For Approximately 200 Customers, Waterline Abandonment, Testing, And Appurtenances. Time Allot- Ted For This Project Is 365 Consecutive Calendar Days For Final Completion Of Works Including Punchlist Items. Proposals For The Complete Work In One Or Two General Contract Shall Be Made On The Proposal Form Provided And Shall Contain Prices In Words And Figures For The Work Bid On. The Project Is Proposed To Be Funded With South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program (Sciip), Clean Water And Drinking Water State Revolving Funds. All Applicable State And Federal Requirements Identified In The Bid Documents Including Srf, American Iron And Steel, And Davis-bacon Special Conditions Apply. All Proposals Shall Be Accompanied By A Bid Bond Drawn In Favor Of The Vpsa, In The Amount Of At Least 5% Of The Lump Sum Bid For The Complete Work; Such Bid Bond Representing That The Bidder, If Awarded The Contract, Will Promptly Enter Into A Contract And Furnish Performance Bond And Payment Bond As Provided By Law And Approved By The Attorney For The Vpsa. Each Bond Shall Be Equal To 100% Of The Contract Amount. The Bid Bond Shall Be Forfeited To The Vpsa As Liquidated Damages If The Bidder Fails To Execute The Contract And Provide Performance And Payment Bonds Within 10 Days After Being Notified That He Has Been Awarded The Contract.
