The project consists of the earthwork and site improvements to facilitate the construction of two multipurpose synthetic turf fields with associated paving, grading, drainage, utilities, landscaping, and appurtenances at the Bourbon County Park in Paris, Kentucky. Architect's Representative: Brad Boaz Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). A completed bid bond form in the sum of 5% of the Bid Amount is required to be attached to the Bid Form. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. 1. Contract Time: a. 240 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed for Substantial Completion. b. 275 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed for Final Completion. 2. Liquidated Damages: a. A sum of one hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per calendar day in which the project does not reach Substantial Completion after the predetermined date of Substantial Completion. b. The sum shall represent the actual damages which the Owner will have sustained per day by failure of the Contractor to complete the work within the time stipulated, and this sum is not a penalty, being the stipulated damage the County will have sustained in event of such default by the Contractor. The successful Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to execute the Contract and provide Insurance Certificates within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of the Notice of Award. The Notice of Award will be accompanied by the necessary Contract.
