The Lee Richardson Zoo/City of Garden City is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design three projects and deliver construction documents, artistic renderings, and estimated construction budgets for each of the projects Bird Holding/Viewing Building, 7th Street Drive-in Entrance, Wild Horse and Camel Holding Barns. The selected firm, through discussions with the Zoo and other City staff, will prepare designs, an artistic rendering, construction documents, and an estimated construction budget for each of the three projects. While the development of the plans will occur simultaneously, it is the intent of the Zoo to proceed with actual construction at a later date, with all being done at the same time or individually over an unspecified period of time. Further phases including bidding assistance and construction administration may be negotiated with the firm as part of a future proposal request. All designs and construction shall meet the minimum requirements of the City's General Improvements Handbook Questions concerning this project should be submitted in writing to Kristi Newland, Zoo Director, Kristi.newland@gardencityks.us The deadline to submit questions will be November 25, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. In order to give proposers ample time to respond, necessary addenda will be issued by November 27, 2024. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
