Sheridan County is inviting Qualified Contractors to submit a sealed bid for furnishing labor, materials and equipment required to build a public security counter/window for Circuit Court. Project includes building a custom countertop work area for staff with a security window access point, installation of 2 solid wood doors, and secondary cabinetry in breakroom. Work should be completed before January 31, 2025. A Mandatory site visit will be required to view the project area and to ask questions. Sheridan County reserves that right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities in the bid submittal and evaluation process. Bid is expected to be awarded on Monday, November 25, 2024. The bidder will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and regulations. The remodel of an office entryway in order to create a secure access point for the public to speak with Circuit Court staff. This involves taking an existing doorway and converting it into a closed off area with a security window. Staff side will have a workspace/countertop and the public side will have a small countertop and slide through security window for transferring of documents. Under the window will be a large secure bin to move larger documents through the security area. o Two other access doors to the hallway currently with glass door will be exchanged for a solid wood door to match the style of existing doorways. o A small countertop will be added in a storage area off the main office section. o Bids should include all associated construction costs for labor, materials, security window, and other equipment necessary to complete the project.
