The work of this contract is the installation of a new tailpipe exhaust system for SEPTA Southern Garage. The work includes all systems per Contract drawings and specifications herein including the following basic elements 1. Provide design and fabrication drawings of Southern Garage Tailpipe Exhaust system for SEPTA review and approval, including all structural, electrical and mechanical components. Drawings shall be signed and sealed by a professional engineer licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 2. Demolish existing bus exhaust systems, including hose reels, exhaust fans, associated ductwork, mounting hardware, electrical systems and conduit. 3. Install (7) new centrifugal exhaust fan, including ductwork and electrical components. 4. Install (27) new overhead exhaust systems, including all structural, electrical and mechanical components. 5. Test and commission system. 6. Provide training and maintenance support. All questions must be submitted by Tuesday, November 22nd, 2024, at 04:30 PM to be guaranteed an answer. The Bid will be opened electronically on the scheduled Opening Date/Time, and will be secure and unreadable by SEPTA until that time. Attendance at the Bid Opening meeting is not mandatory. No bid will be opened and considered that is submitted later than the time specified. SEPTA retains the right to reject any and all bids, as determined to be in the best interest of SEPTA. Each bid submitted shall remain firm for at least ninety (90) days from the date of the Bid Opening and may not be withdrawn in whole or in part during that time. By submitting a bid, the bidder certifies that the bid price is held firm for that time and any extension thereof.
