Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the demolition of a transportation facility; transportation facility; transportation facility; water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.

The work generally consists of demolition of building structures and surrounding site, site grading and restoration, construction of a trash enclosure with PCC driveway, and PCC curb and gutter and sidewalk. Additional general project scope: o Terminal building demolition. Surrounding site miscellaneous feature, pavement, and utility demolition. o Embankment construction to backfill existing terminal basement o Site grading, erosion control, and restoration. o Trash enclosure installation with PCC enclosure pad and PCC driveway o High mast light pole installation o Airport Operations Area Chain Link Fence Installation o PCC curb and gutter and sidewalk installation. o A bid alternate for additional curb and gutter and sidewalk installation. After issuance of Notice to Proceed, contractor may commence work on the project. The Mason City Municipal Airport has established a construction completion date of August 29, 2025. All project work shall be completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed within the project manual. Bid security in the amount of Five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. All proposals submitted in accordance with the instructions presented herein will be subject to evaluation. Bids may be held by the Airport Commission for a period not to exceed 40 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of conducting the bid evaluation. The right is reserved, as the Airport Commission may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. Engineer's estimate of probable construction cost is between $460,000 and $510,000, including Bid Alternate 1. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
