As of January 27, 2025 this project has been awarded in the amount of $164,549.63. This project is the construction of the bathrooms at the Lyons Foursquare Park. The work for this project includes fixtures, finishes, mechanical and electrical devices, and concrete masonry unit bearing walls Trusses & Metal Roof. New roofing, painting, windows and doors for restrooms and maintenance room will be included New mechanical and electrical services will be extended throughout the entire facility to complete the building work. The proposed site work will include the extension from Main Avenue for utilities, sidewalks with ADA compliant site access from existing parking area to bathrooms. Doc Note - Complete project bidding documents are available at the City of Clinton Engineering Department at City Hall, with a deposit of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per set. This deposit shall be refunded upon return of the contract documents within fourteen (14) calendar days after award of the project. If the contract documents are not returned in a timely manner and in a reusable condition, the deposit shall be forfeited. The above work shall be commenced as soon as possible after the contract and bond have been approved by the City Attorney and have been signed by the Mayor and City Clerk. The notice to proceed for this project shall be issued on or before March 1st , 2025. The start date shall be April 1st, 2025 and the final completion date, which includes all seeding and punch-list items, shall be June 30th, 2025 with $200.00 Liquidated damages per day. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount as security that the bidder whose proposal is accepted will enter into a contract for the above, and will provide the required bonds, with sureties to be approved by the City Council, which respective sum will be retained by the said City as agreed liquidated damages in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within ten (10) calendar days after award of the contract and post bond satisfactory to the City insuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract and maintenance. Each successful Bidder will be required to furnish a corporate Surety Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its Contract price. Said Bond shall be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City of Clinton and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City of Clinton from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the Contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement caused by failures in materials and construction for a period of two (2) years from and after acceptance of the Contract.
