Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clinton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project involves the removal and replacement of the failed asphalt parking area as well as the 2500 Block of Grant Street. All existing HMA will be removed and replaced (3270 SY), once the HMA is removed while protecting the existing PCC ramp and PCC around the bathroom facilities the grade will be cored out to provide enough depth for a new surface with 12 of Modified Rock and 4 of HMA Surface. We expect this to be approximately 1425 CY of cut. Given we are unsure about the existing sub-surface conditions we may need to employ the use of Granular Stabilization (500 TON), Engineering Fabric (1000 SY) or Geo-Grid (1000 SY) at the discretion of the Engineer. There are three sewer structures that will require adjustment and a few driveways adjacent to the HMA parking are that will be removed and reinstalled with 4 of HMA and 6 of Modified Sub-base, totaling 110 SY. Once the project is complete the area will require top soil and seeding to restore it. Lastly the parking lot should have pavement markings applied, matching the existing markings.
