The Forest Preserve District of Kane County Commission is Seeking a Qualified Contractor for Archery Range and Associated Improvements Including an Access Road, Parking Lot, and Site Amenities at the Mill Creek Greenway Forest Preserve. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works Are Subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 Ilcs 130/1, Et Seq.) The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids. An Equal Opportunity Employer Question Deadline Nov 26, 2024 Project Location and Description The project consists of improvements to the Mill Creek Greenway Forest Preserve in Kane County, Illinois. The improvements include construction of a new access road, a new parking lot, and installation of a picnic shelter The proposed access road is about 1200 feet long and it will lead to a 65 space parking lot. Site storm water detention is planned immediately to the south and east of the parking lot. At the northeast corner of the parking lot a picnic shelter is planned. The past use for the area was farming.
