Library Parking Lot Improvements, which consists of the removal or approximately 20,500 square feet (SF) of existing 3" asphalt pavement and replacement with 2.5" bituminous binder course, and 1.5" bituminous surface course, parking lot restriping and related appurtenances. Notice: Federal Labor Standards and Prevailing Wage Rates Will Apply to This Project. Women Owned Business Enterprises (Wbe), Minority Owned Business Enterprises (Mbe), and Section 3 Contractors Are Encouraged to Submit Bids on This Project. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Town and Country Public Library District negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Town and Country Public Library District reserves the right to reject all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Town and Country Public Library District for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
