Renovation of an educational facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 45,000-square-foot educational facility.

Scope of work includes a recover of the existing roof systems of approximately 45,000 square feet to include metal edging and installing PVC single ply membrane over coverboard square feet with flashings, etc. Provide new gutters & downspouts. Gravel removal is required. The anticipated start date is January to February 2025. Single prime bids will be accepted in accordance with G.S. 143-128 Contractors interested in bidding the project must have experience and meet the qualifications required in undertaking a project of this type & size and to provide adequate and experienced roofing personnel to carry out this project within the timeframe established in the contract. Requirements for bidding this project are as follows: 1. Three references from previously satisfied public-school customers of similar size, scope & timeframe. 2. Furnish NC License Number (G.S. Chapter 87 establishes licensing requirements for general contractors for construction projects costing $30,000 or more). 3. All bidders & subcontractors shall hold the appropriate license as issued by the State of North Carolina to perform the work specified. 4. Insurance - The Contractor shall provide, as required by law, insurance for his employees. The Cumberland County Schools assumes no liability for injuries or accidents related to the Contractual Agreement. The Contractor shall furnish a certificate to the Owner (Cumberland County Schools) as a Proof of Coverage. The Contractor shall maintain and pay the Insurance Coverage, which shall not be less than the following: Workman's Compensation Employees Liability: $1,000,000.00 Bodily Injury: $1,000,000 per occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate Property Damage: $1,000,000 per occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate Owned/non-owned, and hired motor vehicle: $1,000,000 per occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate Excess liability coverage of $5,000,000 Cumberland County Board of Education shall be included as an additional insured on the policy. Such coverage for completed operations must be maintained for at least 2 years following final acceptance of the work performed under the Contract. 5. Recruitment of minority business participation in accordance with G.S. 143-128. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
