The work includes minor interior and exterior door and window renovations to the existing Office Buildings 558 & 600. Specific trades needed to complete this renovation include interior door and stud wall refinishing, and exterior window replacement. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, or certified check drawn on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or Savings Association Insurance Fund. Checks shall be made payable to the North Carolina Department of Transportation in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that a Contract, The successful bidder shall be required to submit a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials for the construction of the project. NCDOT has an established goal of 10% for Small Disadvantaged Business participation in construction and repair projects. Bidders are hereby notified that the requirements outlined in the NC General Statutes 143-128 Minority Business Enterprise Program for Construction, Procurement and Professional Services shall be adhered to in the submission of all bids and shall be made a part of the contract.
