DPW Chiller Replacement project. The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope: (1) addressed to Yehuda Abraham, Purchasing Department, 231 Third Street, Lakewood, New Jersey 08701, (2) bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and (3) clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid # being bid. The scope of the project is to replace the existing outdoor Trane Chiller at the Department of Public Works with a new 90-ton unit. All work on this contract shall be completed within 45 calendar days once equipment is available. Bids must be on the bid form in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications. NO BIDS ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF AT DPW. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail addresses.Bidder responsible to print own bid packages for submission. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of Lakewood in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Township of Lakewood in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Township of Lakewood in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work.
