As of May 8, 2025, this project was cancelled due to cost. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Greenfield in partnership with the Library Building Committee is seeking proposals for production and installation of signage for the interior of the New Greenfield Public Library, based upon detailed schematic layouts for artwork, maps, diagrams, logotypes, seals, or other decorative elements created by the Design Consultant. This Request for Proposal is being issued instead of an invitation for bid in order to allow the City to evaluate more than just the cost, therefore Sign Contractors will be asked to provide information reflecting at least seven (7) years of experience in the type of work required, provide references from at least three (3) clients, provide evidence of successfully completing manufacture and installation of three (3) projects of similar scope and complexity within the preceding ve (5) years, and provide on-site project management, among other qualifications detailed in the RFP. Submissions must be received in 2 (two) clearly marked and sealed envelopes. One envelope must be marked "RFP 25-09 Library Interior Sign - Technical Proposal" the second envelope must be marked "RFP 25-09 Library Interior Sign - Price Proposal" Questions regarding the RFP must be sent via email to phil.wartel@Greenfield-ma.gov by Wednesday, November 20th by 1:00 PM. Answers will be provided as part of an Addendum and will be posted on the City's Procurement Website on Monday, November 25th by 1:00 PM. Replies will also be emailed to parties known to have requested the RFP. A listing of the RFP Respondents will subsequently be posted on the City's Procurement Department website. All Proposals must be complete and in compliance with the RFP requirements. Incomplete proposals and any proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted for consideration. Selection will be based on the most advantageous proposal from a responsive and responsible submission taking into consideration evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP documents. The City of Greenfield is subject to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B for goods and services, Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30, 39M for public works projects, and Massachusetts General Law Chapter 149 for building projects. The City of Green eld is also subject to the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage laws.
