The City of Slidell is soliciting proposals from interested parties for 2024 Emergency Sanitary Sewer Pumping/Vacuuming and Transport. Firms should have experience in performing and coordinating this type of work. The work will include pumping and or vacuuming sanitary sewer flows from the sewer collection system and disposing of the wastewater in the event of sewer pump station failures within the City of Slidell. The rate schedule provided in the bid proposals shall be used through May 31, 2025 with an option, if agreeable by both parties, for two separate one (1) year periods beginning June 1, 2025 and June 1, 2026. At the beginning of each new contract period, the hourly rates shall be adjusted by a percentage amount equal to the new percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the prior calendar year end or five percent (5%) whichever is less. The CPI to be used shall be from the unadjusted Consumer Price Index, All Urban consumers, (CPI) United States published by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. An executed affidavit and attestation form must be submitted prior to award. The signature on the proposal must be that of an authorized representative of the corporation, partnership or other legal entity as defined by Louisiana Public Bid Law Revised Statute LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5) which dictates parties authorized to submit bids for public contracts. This project is funded with federal funds. All applicable Federal, State, Local laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. Proposers shall be licensed pursuant to appropriate laws, rules and regulations of Louisiana and shall submit evidence that they hold license of proper classifications in full force and effect at the time the specifications are obtained.
