Question Deadline 11/25/2024-All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. This project is generally described as the construction of new water lines along Beaumont Drive (Including Trinidad Drive), South Boyt Road (Including Jewel Drive, Mae Circle, Verdia Drive, Ocean View Drive, and Ocean Shores Drive), Butterfly Lane, Johnson Crawford Circle, Magnolia Lane, North Monkhouse Drive, Resort Road, Rainbow Drive, and Salt Cedar Lane. This project shall provide for the installation of the proposed 4 to 8 water lines, connections to existing water lines, restoration of service connections, flush valves, gate valves, fire hydrants and mini hydrants, bores with and without casing pipe, and various other improvements necessary for a complete installation. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the Bolivar Peninsula SUD; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted in duplicate. Bids may be held by the Bolivar Peninsula SUD for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. The right is reserved by the Bolivar Peninsula SUD, as its interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received.
