Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City of Pittsburgh Office of Management & Budget, on behalf of the Department of Mobility & Infrastructure, Is soliciting bids to replace the existing Frazier Street steps to Bates Street in the Oakland section of the City. Demolition of the existing steps is required, and the new steps will essentially follow the existing alignment. Question Submission Deadline: December 2, 2024, 10:00am Question Submission Method: All questions shall be submitted via Q&A feature on electronic. Period of Contract:One-Time Project Each Bid must be accompanied by a Guarantee in the form a cashiers check or money order, in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bid total, by a bond with corporate surety in an amount not exceeding five (5) percent of the Bid total, Upon Award, Bidder will, within ten (10) calendar days of Award notice, furnish a Performance Bond using sufficient surety or sureties, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract price. Upon Award, Bidder will also, with ten (10) calendar days of Award notice, furnish a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract price. participation- 18% MBE 7% WBE 5% VOSB 3% LGBTQ+ This project is the replacement of the existing steps from Frazier Street to Bates Street in the City's Oakland neighborhood. There are a significant number of utilities within the project limits. Many have taken this opportunity to complete betterments to their facilities. While there is no contract items to do any work on the utility facilities, an item is provided for coordination with the utility owners. Additionally, clearing and grubbing and associated operations for access to the stairs is to be performed and then the utilities will complete their work once the access is provided. As part of the step replacement project, the items of work are to include clearing and grubbing of the site to provide access to the work site for the contractor's operations as well as access for the utility companies, demolition of the existing steps, excavation and backfill, installation of drainage facilities, construction of various types of steps/walkways, installation of handrail, and coordination with utility companies for their work on their facilities. Traffic control measures are to be designed and constructed. Erosion and sedimentation control features are also to be established for the work site. 2024-IFB-355: Frazier Street Steps Construction Existing Alignment has been awarded to: Independent Enterprises, Inc.
