Site work and outdoor lighting for a road / highway in Macon, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
The Project consists of furnishing all labor and materials required for a traffic signal installation at the intersection of Sardis Church Road and Frank Amerson Parkway. The Project will be awarded in one contract with a contract time of 180 calendar days to complete the work. Liquidated damages in the amount of two hundred dollars ($200.00) shall be assessed for each day the work extends beyond the contract completion date. Qualifications of the Bidder will be reviewed prior to awarding the work. The work will be awarded to a Georgia DOT prequalified Bidder on the basis of the total sum bid. The Contract Documents include, but may not be limited to, the Instructions to Bidders, the Contract Agreement, the General Conditions, the Drawings, the Specifications and forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond. These and any other Contract Documents may be examined at the office of Carter Engineering Group, LLC, 6310 Peake Road, Suite 200, Macon, GA 31210. A Contact Name, Phone Number, Email Address and Street Address must be provided to ensure a bidder is on the official plan holder list and to receive addenda as issued during the advertisement period. Bidders must purchase the Contract Documents from the office of the Engineer in order to be eligible to submit a bid. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid, prepared on the form of Bid Bond that is part of the Contract Documents, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. The successful Bidder for this Contract shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, satisfactory to the Owner, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. All necessary permits for this project are expected to be acquired prior to the commencement of construction activities. All land acquisition is expected to be completed prior to the commencement of construction activities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and technicalities.
