This renovation will involve carpentry and interior finishes, along with the installation of medical equipment and fixtures to ensure the space meets the required health and safety standards for a school clinic. Questions Due Date: Dec 6th 2024, 8:00 AM EST SCOPE OF WORK Site Assessment: Assess the designated space within the school for suitability, considering factors like size, accessibility, and proximity to key areas (e.g., administrative offices). Design: See architects and designers detailed plans and blueprints for the clinic space. I. Demolition and Site Preparation A. Demolition: 1. Remove existing structures, fixtures, or partitions in the designated area as required for the new clinic. 2. Cut opening in existing wall for new door (field verify location) 3. Remove existing cabinets, counters and base. 4. Remove existing flooring tiles and dispose of debris. 5. Remove any existing built-in furniture (e.g., desks, shelving, cabinets) that are not required in the clinic. 6. Clear all existing electrical and plumbing installations that are no longer needed for the new clinic layout. 7. Properly dispose of demolition debris in accordance with local regulations: See demolition notes 1-5 B. Site Preparation: 1. Contractor shall verify existing conditions prior to beginning work. 2. Cleaning: Clear and clean the area to prepare for construction. 3. Utilities: Ensure existing utilities (water, electricity, HVAC) are properly managed and relocated if needed. II. Renovation A. Carpentry Work 1. Install new partition walls to extend to bottom of existing ceiling grid and secured to existing structure for designated spaces such as: o Exam Rooms o Multi-purpose room o Reception area o Waiting area o Storage areas for medical supplies o Nurse's office o Laboratory 2. Provide proper door sizes for medical privacy and accessibility, including the installation of swing doors or sliding doors as per the clinic's requirements. 3. New (10) door and hardware to match existing: See Door schedule 4. Install counters in the reception area, including appropriate height counters for medical exams and desks for administrative purposes: See Reception 3-102 5. Install check-in window for reception area: See Waiting 3-101 6. Criteria for stud depth and spacing indicated: See General Notes. ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, AND SPRINKLER MODIFICATIONS BY OWNER. B. Finishing Work: See Finish Schedule 1. Interior Painting: o Painting includes preparation of substrate, priming, and painting of interior walls with low-VOC, durable paint that meets healthcare and school standards. See P-1, P-2 o Install appropriate signage for each room (e.g., "Consultation Room," "Waiting Area," "Restroom," etc.), including ADA-compliant signs for accessibility. o Install vinyl and Digital Wallcovering: See VWC-1, DWC-1, DWC-2, DWC-3 2. Flooring: o Install approximately 2,000 Square Footages of Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT1/LVT-2) o Install Homogeneous Vinyl Tile (HVT-1) in restroom 200 Square footage o Install baseboards along the bottom of walls, ensuring proper fit and finish. 3. Trim and Millwork: o Tape, finish, and sand smooth to be free of voids and imperfections. o Install window trim and baseboards to match the clinic's design and finish requirements. o Paint or finish trim and millwork as per design requirements
