Schilling Road Reconditioning Project The Work for Which Bids Are Asked Includes the Following: the Proposed Project Will Include Pulverizing Approximately 16,250 Sq. Yds. Of Existing Asphalt Pavement, Grading the Pulverized Material to Act as Additional Road Base, Asphalt Paving (Approximately 3,000 Tons at a 3" Thickness), Gravel Shouldering and Site Restoration. Funding for This Project is Provided in Part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Road Improvement Program (Lrip) Section of Town Road Improvement Supplemental Program (Tris). Bids Must Be Accompanied by Bid Security in the Form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond Equal to Five Percent of the Maximum Bid Price, Payable to the Owner as a Guaranty That if the Bid is Accepted, the Bidder Will Execute the Contract Documents and Furnish the Required Contract Security. If the Successful Bidder Fails to Execute the Contract Documents and Provide the Required Contract Security Within 15 Days After the Notice of Award, the Owner May Annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security Will Be Forfeited. Bids May Not Be Withdrawn Within 60 Days After the Date of the Bid Opening. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, and to Award the Contract to the Bidder, Who in the Judgment of the Owner, Will Best Serve the Interest of the Owner. Published by the Authority of the Town of Onalaska Town Board. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
