Safety and mobility will be improved by increasing the connectivity of missing links in pedestrian routes and updating ADA access in multiple locations within the City of Lafayette. The general scope of work of the Lafayette Sidewalks project includes the removal and replacement of existing sidewalk to conform to current ADA standards, the installation of sidewalk in areas lacking pedestrian facilities (missing links), paint & post roadway improvements to increase pedestrian mobility, the extension of an all-weather surface trail to connect pedestrian routes, aesthetic improvements along Baseline Rd, and all other work necessary to complete the intent of the project.
