The work of providing labor, equipment, and material for the Town of Vina, Proposed Town of Vina Storm Drainage Project - CWSRF Project NO. CS010833-05. The principal items of work are detailed herein below: 1. Installation of 42" HDPE Storm Pipe and 38"x 60" RCP Arch Pipe 2. Storm Inlet Boxes 3. Site Work additional doc acq note: Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are open to public inspection at the office of Owner, The Vina Town Hall located at 711 Hwy 19, Vina, AL 35593 The Contract may be awarded to the lowest and responsive Bidder. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and must secure his bond from a bonding company's representative or agent in the State of Alabama. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving the Bids. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 90 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. The contractor shall note that funds for this project are provided through CWSRF (Clean Water State Revolving Funds). All Applicable Federal Guidelines must be met. There will be no Pre-Bid meeting. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing ; Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Work to be performed, but not limited to involves the installation of HDPE Storm Culvert Pipe, Inlet Box, connections and miscellaneous work shall be in accordance with Contract Drawings and Specifications prepared by Utility Engineering Consultants, LLC, 130 Southcrest Drive, Suite 100, Homewood, AL 35210, Phone (205) 951.3838. B. Cleanup, seeding and fertilization of excavation not in pavement shall be incidental to the work. C. Hay bales and protection from the silt runoff are considered incidental to the work and are the responsibility of the contractor to meet all requirements to prevent runoff. D. Installation 6" HDPE Pipe including 14" HDPE for directional boring.
